Norco Leadership

Our team of employee owners is lead by an experienced group of managers at both the local and executive level.

At Norco we pride ourselves on having a very flat organizational chart where every employee has a direct line to all of the management team.

A board of directors also helps guide our business efforts.

We are so committed to our mission of Serving You Better that you, our customers, are actually at the top of our organizational chart.

After working in various positions outside the company and within Norco, Jim purchased the company from his father in 1985 (see full Norco history here). Since taking the helm, Jim has continued to passionately instill in our employees, customers and communities, the fundamental values upon which his parents established Norco. Jim has resided in Boise, Idaho for most of his life, and enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with his three daughters, grandsons, and taking in a Boise State Broncos game.

After an 18 year career with Norco, Ned Pontious retired in February 2018 leaving the office of President vacant. The incumbent president has been acquired and will be publically announced soon, and is targeted to start at the end of June 2018.

Mike joined the Norco team in 2014. Prior to that he served as the Corporate Controller, Director of Accounting and VP and Controller at three different Idaho based companies. He is proficient at financial analysis and strategic planning. He is instramental in guiding and protecting Norco's financial health and longevity. When he's not busy in spreadsheets and calculations, he can be found on the ski hill, coaching or enjoying the powder himself.

Brent, like many others at Norco, is a shining example of the opportunities all Norco employees have before them, having been promoted from within after starting with Norco in 1990. In 2013, Executive Vice President of Medical became the 8th position in his career which also included medical route driver, clinician, branch manager and more. Brent excels at embracing the change necessary to continue Serving You Better through every stage of their life and health journey.

Robert joined the Norco team in 2014. He has over two decades of experience leading teams in the industrial gas and welding products business, spanning several regions of the country, with varying sized organizations. He is tenacious in all his pursuits and understands the ever changing, growing and shifting of customer needs and inspires our team to meet them remarkably every day.

After a worldwide search, Elias was selected to replace long-time President, Ned Pontious, and will be joining the Norco ranks late June 2018. He has spent his entire professional career in the industrial gas industry, holding various technical, commercial and managerial responsibilities within Air Liquide across various international locations. Elias most recently served as the managing director (CEO) of Air Liquide Nordic Countries which included Denmark, Swede, Finland and Norway in Northern Europe. Elias, along with his wife and two children are relocating to Boise, Idaho and are eager to join the teams at Norco. Please join us in welcoming Elias and his family to the Norco family.

Our stores in Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Billings, Montana report to George. He came to us through the acquisition of Gases Plus locations in Wyoming in 2011 and was appointed to this position January of 2012.

Mike leads our stores in North East Oregon, Washington, Northern Idaho, and Western Montana. After 27 years with Norco, first as the accreditation manager in Boise, then medical sales and branch management in Montana, Mike took his place as the Northern Zone VP in 2012.

Troy heads a territory that spans across Southwest Washington, Oregon and Southern Idaho. Starting in 1994, Troy rose to this role in 2012 from positions in sales, clinical, and branch management.

Nicole is the third generation Kissler to join the business. After completing the family prerequisites for joining the company, Nicole started in medical customer service in 2014. From then on, she has served in many different roles, getting first hand experience with the business. Nicole currently oversees the entirety of our medical revenue cycle.

Wayne Barker, Branch Manager, Bend, OR

Meet Wayne. Wayne is a 33 year Norco veteran with a long and impressive company track record. He has not only moved to a variety of store locations when the company needed his service, but has also worked in the three biggest aspects of the business: welding, safety and medical. Wayne has not only mentored many store managers in the Central Oregon region, but is quite often used by newer Norco managers as a sounding board for understanding policies and procedures.
