1. How do I request a repair to be done?
Call your local branch store and inquire if we do repairs on your particular piece of medical equipment.
2. Will Norco provide a loaner piece of equipment for me to use while the repairs are completed?
a. Norco will provide a rental piece of equipment for you to rent while the repair is completed.
b. Often the funding source will cover one month of rent, while an item is being repaired.
c. If the item needing repaired was not purchased from Norco contact your local Norco branch to see if Norco will accept your equipment for repair.
3. Will Norco bill Medicare/Medicaid or my private insurance?
a. Yes, however Norco will not accept assignment on repairs. This means that you will be responsible for the full cost of the repair.
b. If you have Medicare for a funding source, please be aware that you will be asked to sign an advanced beneficiary notice form before the repairs are done.
c. If you have Medicaid for a funding source, Norco will need prior authorization before repairs will be done.
d. Any reimbursement from Medicare will be sent directly to you.
4. Do I have to have an account set-up with Norco to have a repair done?
Yes, if Norco has to bill Medicare/Medicaid or an insurance company. If you are going to pay for the repair yourself, repairs may be done on a cash basis. Special circumstances may apply please inquire at your local branch.
5. Will Norco give me an estimate of repair cost?
a. Yes, if you request an estimate of repair cost at the time the item for repair is given to Norco. Please be aware that a charge will apply for the time necessary to troubleshoot and submit the estimate. If the repair is then authorized, the charge would be included in the regular repair cost.
6. How long will the repairs take?
a. We make an effort to make prompt repairs. With shipping to and from the branch store locations, it normally takes a couple of weeks to get the item back.
b. Factors that may increase the return time are: parts availability and if we have to utilize factory support.
